FTCH Government grants are available for homes who need a new boiler and radiators but do not have them or they are unable to afford them. Central heating systems provide effective heating through a boiler, connected to radiators throughout the whole property.

Who Qualifies for First Time Central Heating Systems?

Firstly, you must be a homeowner, or a tenant in a privately rented home.

Your home must have either no heating at all or one of the following heating systems mentioned below:

Electric room heaters, including direct acting room heaters, fan heaters or inefﬁcient electric storage heaters
Gas room heaters; including ﬁxed mains gas room heaters
Gas ﬁre with back boiler
Solid fossil fuel ﬁre with back boiler
Electric underﬂoor or ceiling heating (not part of an electric boiler)
Bottled LPG room heating
Solid fossil fuel room heaters
Wood/biomass room heating
Oil room heaters
